Girl Scout Patches to Strive For.

Digital technology has completely changed the world of Girl Scout patches. Custom scout patches have gone from standard to spectacular. From embroidered patches to quilted ones, there are so many styles to choose from.

For young ladies involved in arts and crafts they can achieve patches like jewelry making, sticker saving, flower making, or even sewing. If sewing is not her strong suit but she enjoys spending time in the kitchen, then maybe kitchen related crests are more her style. She can work towards achieving patches for cooking, baking, or even cake decorating and candy making. It is all about a young lady experiencing different activities and working towards becoming accomplished at doing those activities.

For community minded girls they can achieve crests in babysitting, pet care, animal shelter volunteering, or senior activity volunteering. They can participate in activities related to special days of the year. These special day badges include Mothers Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and even Valentine’s Day. Once they have completed all of the necessary tasks, they are then awarded the appropriate patch.

There are sports badges available for girl scouts too. These patches include bowling, badminton, soccer, and even boating. For adventurous little girls they can work towards crests based upon whale watching, amusement parks, and magic shows too. For indoor activities, girl scouts can achieve crests in bingo games, board games, and building blocks. These are all a far cry from the badges of yesteryear.

The embroidered patches of today highlight a young ladies many accomplishments. By highlighting her achievements, they encourage her to strive for even more. The more challenges that she is able to meet head on, the more opportunities she has to garner even more patches. They encourage her to become involved in community activities, from volunteering at a local animal shelter, to raising money for her favorite charity, to spending time reading to seniors. The task of working towards earning more badges encourages her growth into becoming a productive contributing member of society. Without even noticing it, she gradually grows into a beautiful young woman who gives back to her community. All of this happens while she is simply working towards earning badges. She is so concentrated on earning a specific crest that she does not even realize that she is learning life lessons in the process. Truly amazing that all of this growth is thanks to just a small Girl Scout patch.
